The Invader's March

Invisible tendrils weave through the air,
Unseen forces, a relentless affair.
We beckoned the change with our heedless stride,
Now, in trembling fear, we can't deny.
From distant fires to rising tides,
The invader within, our world divides.
Our actions, the key to this malevolent dance,
We welcomed the change, gave it a chance.
Landscapes altered, familiar no more,
Intruder's embrace, relentless and sure.
The world we knew, now fading away,
As the invader tightens its sway.
We watched as the seasons lost their grace,
In the invader's wake, they left no trace.
Through our choices, we paved the way,
For this unwelcome guest, here to stay.
The world now groans, its cry so clear,
For our actions, we must shed a tear.
In our negligence, we allowed it to thrive,
Now, as it conquers, we must strive.
To reclaim the balance, restore the land,
Undo the damage, give Earth a hand.
For in our power lies the chance,
To halt the invader's menacing advance.
